About The Author

John Lipareli’s inspiration for The Legend of the Afghan Hound comes from a deep love for two wonderful Afghan dogs that have enriched his life. He dedicates this heartfelt story to his mother, whose life embodied the book’s central theme: love in action. Her support allowed him to devote the time and focus needed to bring this unique tale to life.

With honesty and experience, John shares that while Afghan hounds possess striking beauty and remarkable traits, they require a special environment and care. Their independent nature, boundless curiosity, and luxurious coat demand dedication and understanding, making them a challenging but rewarding companion.

John holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mercy University in Dobbs Ferry, New York. Though new to published writing, he is also a songwriter with several copyrighted works. His passion for storytelling shines through in this debut book, inviting readers to explore a legend born from history, myth, and heartfelt experience.
